Anti-wrinkle injections or Botulinum toxin works by temporarily relaxing overactive muscles.

In doing so the appearance of lines and wrinkles are reduced resulting in smoother skin and a refreshed appearance.

The degree of relaxation and final result can be tailored to your preference and will be discussed in your consultation. Follow up appointments are always provided where your results are reviewed and a complimentary top up is provided if necessary.

In some cases, botulinum toxin is not used to relax or soften lines but its effects are utilised to create the following results :

Gummy smile – A reduction in the thinning of the lip on smiling
Lip flip – Eversion of the top lip to create a more voluminous appearance
Brow lift – A lift in the brow with a resultant opening of the eyes

Botulinum toxin can also be used to soften lines in the following ways:

Forehead – Softening of the horizontal lines in the forehead (Those that become more prominent when you raise your eyebrows)
Frown lines – Relaxation of the ’11’s’ lines caused by frowning – (Those that become more prominent when bring your eyebrows together)
Smile lines – Softening of the ‘crows feet’ lines around the eyes (Those that become more prominent when smile)
Bunny lines – Softening of the horizontal lines across the bridge of the nose (Those that become more prominent when you scrunch up your nose)
Neck lines – Relaxation of the vertical muscular bands in your neck which lead to horizonal ‘necklace lines’ and the loss of the jaw line
Corners of the mouth – Reduction in the down turning of the corners of the mouth which can lead to the appearance of looking sad
Smokers’ lines – Softening of the vertical ‘barcode lines’ on the upper lip
Chin dimpling – Reduced chin dimpling and prevention of the development or worsening of the horizontal chin crease.
